Teaching Pippin "leave it"

How I taught Pippin "leave it".

To start, I would hold a high-value treat in my closed fist. As soon as his attention turned towards me, I would say, "Leave it" and treat him.

He caught on pretty fast. I was soon able to keep my hand open with the treat on it and say "Leave it" and he would.

This command has been a lot of fun to teach, and I plan to teach it to all my future dogs.
